Significance series - Accordance
Author: Shelly Crane
Publication date: September 15, 2011
Edition house: Kiss Me Publications, LLC
Type: Young Adult Fantasy
Book blurb:
In the sequel to Significance, Maggie learns much more about all the strange things that have happened to her and has to face many new ones. She learns something about herself, that she is something that the clans have been waiting for. She rebels against it but, ultimately must face it for her new family's sake and maybe even her life. Bish went from being her biggest supporter to her biggest pain in the butt and Kyle's intentions to attract her interest may not be so innocent.
Caleb and Maggie face many new obstacles together as a couple and on their own. They fight to work through them but will one that should be a good thing be too much for Maggie to handle? Will she become who she has to be to save the ones she loves or will she crumble under the pressure as this epic love story continues.
My opinion:
Once again, Shelly gets us in her world pretty easily. Maggie and Caleb are trying to flee the Watson as they are still after them. The echoling is getting a little under control, well as long as Maggie stop falling asleep when Caleb isn't with her. And there is a big twist in this book. Maggie gets to be something or rather someone very important to the clans! And it is surprising! We still have no idea of Caleb power.
As the book goes on, we see how this life is challenging, even more when you aren't born an Ace. And it does take a big toll on Maggie. Even more when Bish is this stubborn!
There is once again a lot of emotions in this book. As we only see Maggie's side of the book, we see a lot of love and devotion, but also some incomprehension. We get to see also a lot of anger, but I think that this anger is really justified. She doesn't want all this attention, she doesn't want those visions, she doesn't want everything that she gets, but she is stuck with it. And she can either embrace it or rebel against it.
It is very well written, I loved the book, and it took me something like 8 hours to read those 300+ pages, I couldn't put it down, but it was worth it! Have a great read! I swear you'll love it!
